Accreditation

Authorization and Affiliation

VCBC has been authorized to operate and to grant degrees by the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities under section 246.084 (1), State of Florida Statutes.

VCBC is a Certified Academic Institution with the American College of Christian Counselors(A.C.C.C.). And a member of Vision Christian Counseling Assosiation (V.C.C.A.).

VCBC is a member of the Evangelical Training Association in the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Adult Education Division.  As a member school, students have the opportunity to earn the ETA: Graduate, Standard, and Associate Teacher Diploma.

VCBC is a Member of the American Federation of Colleges and Seminaries (Am Fed), an agency not approved by the U.S.D.O.E.   The Federation has established a quality educational standard in post secondary education for evangelical colleges and seminaries that do not seek secular accreditation.

VCBC does not hold regional accreditation, nor do we intend to seek such affiliation.  Our intent is to remain an institution devoted to preparing men and women for ecclesiastical vocations.

A Word Concerning Accreditation

The primary reason an institution desires to be accredited by a government agency or a private agency approved by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), is to receive federal and state funding.  Vision Christian Bible College & Seminary does not accept federal or state funding, because of our belief in the separation of church and state.   VCBC does not want to conform its educational standards to the regulations that federal affiliation would impose.
